more on sportsmanship

This past Saturday I got to see another demonstration of good sportsmanship.

Alec played basketball with the Priests from our ward in a Regional playoff game. Unfortuately, one of our players got a badly sprained ankle in the first half. One of the boys from the other team helped him off the court. (good sportsmanship)

The injury meant Alec got to play most of the game. That is good for him but bad for the team. However, the opposing team was great! Not only did they let Alec shoot unopposed but they also gave him the ball back to reshoot when he missed! Then they cheered for him when he celebrated his score by galloping (in Alec fashion) down the court.

I was pretty impressed!

And, of course, it made Alec's day.
