I'm a proud mama! Alec received his "social hero" award yesterday in an assembly at the high school. I am proud of him but I am mostly proud of the student body at his high school (over 3000 students). They have been so friendly with, kind to, and accepting of Alec. They are great! I couldn't be happier with his school situation.
The student body officers chose heroes in 4 categories: athletic, academic, social, and service. They chose 4 students in each category to honor. The social heroes were the ones who always have a smile on their face, are kind to everyone, and are very friendly.
Alec is pretty pleased with his award.
i couldnt figure out what was on that award until the last photo. he does look very happy with himself!
