Yellowstone Trip - Day One

Our Yellowstone trip was planned to be 4 families minus a few teens with other commitments (Katie to Oakcrest, Zach to band camp, and McKayla to soccer). At last minute, Karen had to back out to help care for her ailing mother. Our family begain our trip right after church on Sunday by making the drive to Idaho Falls where we stayed with Nebeker's parents along with Nebekers and Goins.

Monday we met up with Pococks and drove to Jackson Hole, WY. Alec enjoyed getting acquainted with a bear in the Albertsons where we stopped to buy chicken for a picnic lunch by the river and elk preserve.

We traveled on to Jenny Lake.


We had talked about kayaking on Jenny Lake or hiking to the falls but we were hit with a torrential downpour so we headed on to Yellowstone to set up camp.
