McKayla has just finished a very successful couple days at the Regional Track Championships! She took 4th place in both the 1600m and the 3200m which qualified her to go to the State Championships next weekend at BYU in both events!
That is exciting enough, however, she had a PR in the 1600m with a time of 5:32.09. She was okay with that but was hoping to be a bit faster. She'd like to improve that time at State because she only needs to knock off 1 more second and she'd move into 3rd place on the all-time records board.
She ran the 3200m for her very first time ever and not only took 4th place overall and qualified for state but set the school record for RHS with a time of 11:57.03. A school record the very first time she runs it?!?! Sometimes my daughter astounds even me.
