You always hear the horror stories about what happens when your missionary gets home. They are true!
Yes, we were mostly blessed without too many major expenses while Brakston was on his mission. Now he's been home for about 5 weeks and we've had the Suburban in the shop 3 separate times all with costly repairs. Also, we had to put 4 new tires on the car. Now our fridge is going out. It is making ghastly noises.
No one told me we'd be hit with 2 years worth of expenses within a few weeks of our missionary being released. Scary! Maybe he should have extended his mission.
