sign of the times?

Yesterday one of my seminary students asked me if tsunamis were included as signs of the Second Coming.

I actually had an answer for them. I believe tsunamis are specifically mentioned in D&C 88:119 when it says, "...the waves of the sea heaving themselves beyond their bounds." Doesn't that describe a tsunami?


Speaking of all the tsunami talk, Chandler asked Kevin and I last night if the tsunami was going to hit Utah. He was a little fearful. I had to tell him what a tsunami is and then give him a geography lesson. That calmed him considerably. Who says ignorance is bliss?
