the luck ran out

McKayla' run of luck just couldn't last long enough. Her basketball team lost in the semi-finals by 2 points after leading most of the game.

On the other hand, maybe her "luck" was just used for more important things - like keeping us safe as she drove 4 hours of the round trip to Idaho.

I'll take that over a basketball win anytime!
