sew crafty

I was feeling a little crafty and creative (a dangerous combination, I'm sure) on Saturday. So, I whipped up a couple of headbands for my girls. I think they turned out cute and it was a great way to use fabric scraps.

sewing

It was a productive week. Friday I spent the entire day sewing and produced this quilt. It is actually for ME! I sewed one for Christmas to give to my sister, Dawnette and have intended to make myself one ever since. I finally got to it!

I also sewed this apron which I'll be giving away:

I sewed this apron for myself:

Notice I added rickrack to my apron! I would feel guilty about making mine more special except I sewed 12 for others first before I even sewed one for myself so I think I can be a little justified in giving mine some extra trimming!

sewing

I honestly NEVER, EVER, EVER thought I'd say this - but sometimes I actually enjoy sewing. Truly I do. I still don't like big projects or complicated patterns but I like the cute fabrics that are out there. I have had fun this year completing a few small projects. Here's the turtleneck that I decorated up for my niece. I think it's cute.

crafts and copying continued

My crafty mood continues as does my copying prowess. Thanks to my wonderful, uber-creative sister-in-law, Melissa, for the darling idea for use of plastic pencil boxes.

Thanks to the fantastic scrapbook store, Pebbles in My Pocket, for the cute YW value/theme block.

feeling crafty

Thanks to my friend, Beth Anne , I did a cute craft for Halloween. It was so easy (the only kind, in my book) and lots of fun! I sent some to Dianna for being my blog contest winner. The rest I'll give away to friends and family.
